How to celebrate a business anniversary

We can get so caught up running our business that we forget to celebrate milestones as they happen. No matter if you are a solo-preneur or have a team of staff, you should take the time to celebrate your achievements. Here are some ways to celebrate a business anniversary.

The gift of time

Celebrations don’t need to cost you money. As a bookkeeping business, we know not everyone can afford luxurious celebrations and celebrating shouldn’t be every day of the week either. However, giving yourself or your employees the gift of time off to celebrate a business anniversary is a great option.

Some ideas for yourself include curling up with a good book, taking the day off to explore a nature trail, or taking the day off to do whatever you desire.

Trust us; you need it to keep moving and shaking and growing your business to new heights. It will help boost morale, spirits, and productivity.

Hold a customer appreciation event

Holding an event like this for your anniversary is a win-win. You get to celebrate. Your clients get to celebrate. Your employees get to celebrate, and you might get some more business in the process. It is also a great thing to post on social media and helps to market your business.

Take the team for dinner out

There is nothing better than a delicious meal to celebrate what you have worked so hard to achieve. Invite the whole team out and relish your accomplishments. You can even hand out awards to team members.

If you are a solo-preneur, invite friends and family out with you to celebrate with you. Odds are they have supported you on your journey, even if you don’t realize it, and deserve a night out as well.

See a motivational speaker

Seeing a speaker is the gift that keeps on giving. Educational and motivational plus it gets you and your team out of your daily routine and opens you up to new experiences. Check your local area to see who is going to be in town.

We highly recommend Tony Robbins. We have seen him multiple times. He puts on an amazing performance, gives you great business tips while continuing to push you towards your dreams.

A massage or spa day

The ultimate in relaxation and celebration. A spa day is an excellent option for business owners who want to thoroughly enjoy the fruits of their labour.

While not the cheapest option, it will undoubtedly help you relax, de-stress and unwind and is a great way to celebrate your anniversary.

Celebrating another year in business is worth the effort. Not everyone makes it to a year, five or more! It may be hard to consider even taking one hour off if you are swamped in your business. Do take the time. It will be worth it. Your future self will thank you, AND because we think about these things, most celebrations are tax-deductible. Not sure if yours is?
